This session was an amazing introductory into writing a collection. My takeaway was every piece of literature in a collection is strategically placed for the reader to consume.
This was a wonderful session! Robert was able to switch codes with the various hats he wears, writer, poet, publisher, editor and reader to inspire me to write until the end. His advise of waiting until the end to edit is a game changer for me. I am also buoyed by his okaying the fact that my ongoing chapter book might actually be a collection of short stories. I feel that I might start back writing that one after months of "being on a break". Thanks as usual for feeding my muse NCF.
This session was useful to me in sorting out the novel I'm stuck on. The lightbulb moment was that maybe it should be a series of stories instead. At the very least, it would feel less daunting.
