Kerry Belgrave is a phenomenal poet... and teacher!
My main takeaway was learning about the theory of Formalism and how it informs literary language and the evaluation of literature.

I have always been drawn to writing poetry but it always seemed too big, too intelligent, and so unattainable. Kerry Belgrave was equivalent to the sun breaking thru the clouds on a very cloudy day. Smiley face. I'm already using one of the techniques he taught. He delivered his presentation which was packed with knowledge and insight of his craft so well that it left us all wanting more, as well as having the desire to at least try writing a poem or maybe a better poem.
